Scholarship Program Eligibility
To be eligible for the CSW Industrials Mary Burns Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
EMPLOYMENT STATUS OF PARENT/GUARDIAN
The applicant's parent or guardian must be an Eligible Employee of a CSW Industrials subsidiary in the United States or Canada, and the student must be claimed as a dependent on the employee’s most recent tax return.
An Eligible Employee is defined as someone who is a full-time, non-union, active worker employed by a CSW affiliate business in the United States or Canada for at least one year, as of April 15, 2026. (Note: This one-year requirement applies to all employees, including those at recently acquired companies. Example 1: CSW Industrials acquired the company your parent/guardian works for in November 2025. They originally joined the company on or before April 15, 2025. They are considered an Eligible Employee for the 2026 program, and you are eligible to apply this year. Example 2: CSW Industrials acquired your parent/guardian's company in November 2025. They joined the company after April 15, 2025. They are not considered an Eligible Employee for the 2026 program, and you are not eligible to apply this year.)
No employee who is suspended for disciplinary reasons or on a performance improvement plan shall be considered to be an Eligible Employee. No employee who is an officer or director of the Fund or an officer or director of CSW Industrials or any of its affiliates shall be considered an Eligible Employee.
AGE AND ACADEMIC STATUS
Applicants must be under the age of 24 and one of the following:
- a current high school senior who plans to graduate by June 2026, earning a minimum 2.5 GPA
- a current college student with a minimum 2.25 GPA who is returning to their school in Fall 2026 as a sophomore, junior, or senior
- a recent high school graduate or holder of a GED diploma who plans to enroll in a vocational program or technical training school for the Fall 2026 semester
- a current student in good standing at a vocational/technical training school who is returning for the Fall 2026 semester to complete their certification
ENROLLMENT STATUS
You must be enrolled as a full-time student in or have applied and been accepted as a full-time student into:
- an associate or bachelor’s degree program at a college or university for the Fall 2026-Spring 2027 academic year
OR
- an accredited non-degree vocational, trade, or technical training at a community college or private career school for the Fall 2026 semester
